Formidable ABC journalist Sarah Ferguson’s work combing the minds of perpetrators and survivors of child sexual abuse inside the Catholic Church culminates in a scathing presentation of the case of convicted pedophile Vincent Ryan. Her grilling of him as he awaits the outcome of his second trial has revealed the great shirking of responsibility it would seem this faith makes possible, on a personal as well as an institutional level. This has been a most unpleasant, but vital project.
