This weekend, Al Jazeera America will debut Borderland, a new docu-series thatfollows three immigration activists and three anti-immigration advocates as they re-trace the footsteps of deceased Mexican migrants along the U.S.-Mexican border. Throughout the four-part series, the participants visit borderland communities and get a first-hand view of what becomes countless migrants' final destination: the morgue.

"We are looking at an immersive experience," Shannon High, the network's senior vice president of documentaries and programs, told Variety. "No matter where you stand on immigration, whether you are coming from the left or right or down the middle, you will come out of watching these four hours really having a comprehensive perspective on what immigration is really all about — from all viewpoints."

Borderland premieres Sunday, April 13 at 9pm EST, on Al Jazeera America.
