Nel Minchin is a comedy, arts and factual entertainment producer, director and writer. After graduating from the Broadcasting Program at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Nel moved to London to learn the ropes. During her time in the UK, Nel worked on BAFTA nominated series Blood, Sweat and Takeaways (BBC3) and Britain's Next Big Thing (BB2) and Assistant Producer in the Google Creative Lab in 2010. 

In 2011, Nel returned to Australia and moved to Sydney, working with Fremantle and CJZ. As an independent producer, Nel's credits include Gaycrashers (ABC2) comedy web series Aunty Donna (ABC iView) and Convenience (SNSW Emerging Filmmakers Fund). 

In the digital space, Nel produced and directed a digital documentary series with The Google Creative Lab Australia and Griffin Theatre Company and wrote and produced viral video Wi-Fi Swap. 

With In Films, Nel produced Aunty Donna, a comedy pilot (ABC iView) and Aunty Donna:1999 (YouTube web series). She also wrote, directed and produced Matilda & Me (ABC Arts). in 2016 Matilda & Me won two ATOM Awards and was nominated for the AACTA Awards. 

Nel joins In Films as a recipient of the Screen Australia Enterprise Program.
